The Make-A-Wish Trailblaze Challenge has landed in San Diego for its’ 2nd year!! Last year Muir Energy had a humble presence, but this time around, thanks to our success over the past year, we are able to be an official sponsor! Not only are we providing fuel for race weekend, but our team members are participating in the 28 mile, one-day hike along the PCT in Big Bear, California. Each team member is responsible for fundraising $2,500 which goes to granting the wishes of kiddos in the San Diego area. Spearheading the Muir Energy team is me, Katey Ford!
Some of you have seen my name floating around our blog, Instagram, or even on notes from online orders! I am thrilled to contribute to such a great organization that grants the wishes of children with critical illnesses. It’s truly amazing what a wish come true can do for a child. Parents, health professionals and volunteers agree that a wish empowers wish kids to fight harder against their illnesses. I believe that every wish brings a little more kindness and joy into their world, as well as yours.
If you have any hesitation, Hannah has been my greatest inspiration and I continue to keep her in my thoughts as I ask for donations from strangers, which is a very uncomfortable thing for me to do. Hike weekend is rapidly approaching, but I KNOW that I can meet my fundraising goals with your help!!
